Still We Rise.

Our warrior, Nicole Cottone Obenski, inspired us through her unwavering resilience, selflessness, and positivity in the face of a Stage IV colon cancer diagnosis. We continue her fight against colon cancer and are honored to preserve her legacy.

“I volunteer so no one has to hear, ‘You have colon cancer.’”

About Cole Cares

Nicole Cottone blessed us beyond measure with her beauty, generosity, and love as she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Impacting us all beyond imagination, Nicole became our guide. Upon her diagnosis, she was not only a fighter, but immediately acted as an advocate supporting those stricken with this terrible disease.

Nicole truly made a difference to those she met, therefore our mission is to now pay it forward to preserve her legacy.

Cole Cares is here to educate and care for those who are impacted by colon cancer and to continue Nicole’s work in the Radnor High School community.

Join us as we support, love, and care for those who need it most!

About Colon Cancer

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States. The American Cancer Society’s estimates for the number of colorectal cancer cases in the United States for 2022 are:

  • 106,180 new cases of colon cancer
  • 44,850 new cases of rectal cancer

The lifetime risk of developing colorectal cancer is: about 1 in 23 (4.3%) for men and 1 in 25 (4.0%) for women. In the United States, colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and in women, and the second most common cause of cancer deaths when men and women are combined.

Because of advanced screening techniques and improved treatments for colorectal cancer,
the death rate from colorectal cancer has been dropping in both men and women for several decades. Cole Cares is here to educate and support those seeking to learn more about screening and care.
